Naval Applications 901D Brochure

Curtiss-Wright’s 901D portfolio of electronics cabinets, consoles, and supporting design, test, qualification and integration services are aligned to Naval and other highly ruggedized applications deployed in harsh military environments.

These application-specific enclosures and integrated solutions are built using our module approach that drives affordability, program velocity while lowering risk.

Our 901D portfolio of electronics cabinets, consoles, and integration services are named after and are designed to exceed the requirements of MIL-S-901 for shipboard machinery shock testing. This suite of capabilities is aligned to Naval and other highly ruggedized applications deployed in harsh military environments. Curtiss-Wright’s approach to enclosure construction and system integration leverages the efficiency of reusing proven technology building blocks that make electronics installation faster and more cost-effective.

These building blocks are designed with low-risk customization in mind and span enclosure construction, mechanical protection, air and liquid cooling, temperature control, EMI /EMC, and electrical power conditioning and isolation.

We provide the technical support, services and integration capabilities for successful deployment of MIL-SPEC integrated subsystems and ruggedized COTS enclosures. We will work with you during every phase of program execution to ensure all design, analysis, integration, testing, qualification, and contractual deliverables meet or exceed DoD program requirements.

Our AS9100 certified facilities in Monsey, NY (46,000 ft2) and New London, CT (14,000 ft2) produced and shipped over 1,650 cabinets and consoles in 2021. Our enclosures on used on every class of U.S. Navy combat vessel (surface and sub), including consolidated afloat network and enterprise services (CANES), ship signal exploitation equipment (SSEE), undersea warfare combat system (SQQ-89) and multifunctional information distribution system on-ship-modernization (MOS-Mod).
