An aircraft fleet was undergoing an upgrade of the on-board AEW&C network, they contacted Curtiss-Wright to find a cost-effective yet rugged, quick turnaround solution for multiple processing and communications subsystems.

Curtiss-Wright was selected to provide its COTS data acquisition, networking and recording systems to the European Space Agency for the IXV which are qualified to meet requirements for space equipment such as radiation tolerance and high reliability.
