PacStar Receives a Top Channel Partner Award from Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company

PacStar is recognized for its in-depth expertise in design and deployment of enterprise and tactical Wi-Fi solutions for US Federal Agencies and US Military

Portland, OR — April 5, 2016 – PacStar, a leading developer and supplier of advanced communications solutions for commercial, industrial and defense markets, announced it has been recognized as a 2016 Top Channel Partner by Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company. The award, presented during the 2016 Aruba Americas Partner Summit held in Las Vegas, March 7 – 9, 2016, recognizes PacStar’s continued success and 12-year history of large-scale, Aruba-based Wi-Fi deployments in US federal installations.

PacStar had a record year deploying large, secure Aruba Wi-Fi networks in federal facilities including military bases, hospitals and training centers, growing PacStar’s practice to include other federal enterprise organizations, including agencies involved in land management, fire control, and aerospace. PacStar’s expertise in deploying secure networking with Aruba has now expanded to encompass Aruba’s new 802.11ac Wave 2 high-performance Wi-Fi systems and ClearPass Policy Manager ultra-scalable network access control solutions.

“In addition to a number of large installations in DoD medical centers and hospitals in Colorado, Washington, and Hawaii, 2015 was a break out year for us in expanding into a variety of civilian federal agencies with these Aruba solutions, with more on the way in 2016,” said Peggy Miller, PacStar chief executive officer. “With the number of cyber security incidents increasing globally, we’re seeing appreciation for Aruba’s leading security capabilities and are pleased with our ability to help our customers increase their security posture.”

In addition to installing and deploying Aruba technology in fixed installations, PacStar announced the availability of the first Aruba-based tactical solution, the PacStar 451 with Aruba Virtual Mobility Controller (currently undergoing testing for Common Criteria certification as an IPSec VPN gateway and Traffic Filtering Firewall). This product is designed to meet NSA “Commercial Solutions for Classified”(CSfC) program requirements for use in the transmission of classified information for deployed, early entry, and mobile teams for US Military, Coalition Partners, Intelligence, Special Forces and First Responders.
